Artists for Climate
Artists for Climate, a collaborative initiative between TED Countdown and Fine Acts, is a groundbreaking project that harnesses the power of visual art to inspire climate action. Our studio also took part in the open call submitting a custom illustration, designed to amplify the climate conversation through this vibrant combination between a positive message and playful visual.
Launched in 2021, this innovative venture curated a collection of open-licensed digital illustrations from a global pool of artists, focusing on hope and solutions in the face of climate change. The project received an impressive 2,222 submissions from 1,432 artists across 95 countries, culminating in a selection of 50 finalists whose works now form a valuable public resource.
By offering artworks under a Creative Commons license, projects like Artists for Climate empower educators, activists, and organisations worldwide to utilise and adapt the illustrations for non-commercial purposes, fostering a shift in the global narrative towards a more optimistic and solution-oriented approach to the climate crisis.
We are happy to be part of the movement and to have a small contribution towards a much cooler planet!
