The “Me, You, Plovdiv” Initiative
We were commissioned by BG Be Active to develop the visual identity for the "Me, You, Plovdiv" initiative. As part of the 2019 European Capital of Culture programme, this project focused on collaboration between citizens and institutions to promote recycling and waste reduction in Plovdiv. Our work included branding, logo animation, and both online and offline communication materials.

The “Me, You, Plovdiv” initiative, led by BG Be Active, aimed to engage the public in sustainable practices to tackle waste management in the city. Our role was to design a visual identity that would resonate with the community and convey the importance of reducing waste and recycling. The key challenge was creating a cohesive identity that worked across multiple platforms and resonated with a diverse audience.
We developed a vibrant and impactful design language, using a colour palette of bright blues, yellows, greens, and deep blues, symbolising sustainability and waste-free living. The human hand became a central motif, representing active participation in the recycling process, whether collecting, cleaning, or recycling waste. We ensured that both the online and offline materials were integrated, making the message of environmental stewardship accessible and engaging.
